| We'll of course everybody comes
here to 'Kiss the Blarney Stone' with
the hope of getting the gift of eloquent speech..but
why? When the fun is over let the historian in us
tell you where the stone is supposed to have come
from, why it should have such magical powers and
what are it's connections with Edinburgh Castle
in Scotland.
We wont leave it there because the grounds of
Blarney Castle have ruins
dating back 5000 years to a people who lived here
long before the Celts
arrived. So let us take you back to 3000BC and
tell you about these ancient
people while we visit 'The Druid's Shrine', a
'Stone Circle' and a
'Dolman'.
There will be plenty of time for coffee and a
little shopping at the now
world famous 'BLARNEY WOOLLEN MILLS'
before we have to say goodbye to the
lovely village of Blarney and start our journey
to historic Kinsale.
